[Water is never dangerous to Kendra, but she does have the power to control it utterly, which helps.

She turns at the sound of someone running toward her--starting (she's more nervous than she used to be)--but it's only a child, so she relaxes. She doesn't have much experience with children. She was supposed to have one of her own years ago, but things had not worked out as expected. Hopefully she'll have the necessary heir soon.

She might not have experience, but she should be good with children. Why wouldn't she be?

[And to illustrate, she causes the water to rise up again, looping elegantly around her head, without a drop touching her, before it returns to the river.]
