Charizard sees the figure in the skies with it, stopping in her own flight with some wariness when it approaches. But admittedly, she's curious too. It's not hard to recognise it's a dragonite; she's seen them enough to know that.
Yet it's the figure on the pokémon's back that catches her attention as much as it itself. She knows that man - she should, considering that she lived her younger years with him before Red took her with him on his journey.
Her response is curt, gruff; more than she intends it to, not meaning to be rude but being on the shy side (and not wanting to give that totally away). She nods though, to add to her greeting and to hopefully make it more friendly, especially with the professor there.
She then takes a flap of her wings back, nodding her head to the side and saying - follow me. It's a question despite not coming off as one, seeing as how she waits for the dragonite's confirmation. But Charizard knows that Red would like to meet the professor.
