Mukuro shook, back straight, eyes stern, grip like steel. The military greeting was really the only one she knew-- and it didn't seem to rattle him, thankfully. It was probably a good thing he was so tall and threatening looking after all. "Kanji Tatsumi," she repeated quietly, committing it to memory. "It's good to meet you." Or so she hoped. She wasn't very good at this whole socializing thing.
She took a step back, hands held loosely behind her as she listened attentively. 'You should.' She seemed to relax unconsciously, slowly letting out a long breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. She held up her hands peaceably as he stammered. "N-No, no, it-- it's fine," she tried to reassure him, "I don't, um, I don't know anything about this sort of thing. I appreciate the help."
This was such a normal conversation it was surreal for her. She glanced around uncertainly. Should she just walk away? Would that be too sudden? Should she invite him to walk with her or would that be pushy and weird? Ugh, this was so frustrating. She took a few steps towards the racks, starting to pick through shirts. "Do you live here?" She asked fairly abruptly, floundering for a conversational topic. "I mean-- are you-- from here, or-- somewhere else?"
