Test Drive - July Edition

The July Test Drive! Trying to see if a character will fit or work in the setting? Need some interaction samples? Well this meme is for you! Make a post, tag around, and most importantly, have fun! Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it:

Option 1

[ It looks like there are preparations underway for some sort of festival or fair. There are various stands and booths being erected along sectioned-off streets and the riverbank, and decorations are slowly but surely being hanged. Fireflies seem to be appearing all along the riverbank as the sun sets, with a few stands set up with mason jars of various sizes as well as paper lanterns, possibly as further decorations. Whatever the case, it looks like those setting up could use some help! ]

Option 2

[ Though most of the stands are being set up, that doesn't mean that there aren't a few vendors looking to help those out and about beat the heat in some fashion. There are some selling shaved ice with various flavors, and others that appear to be handing out water-filled balloons or squirt guns. However, like in the market district, there's a catch – the items are free, so long as you arrive at the stall in pairs or groups larger than two. ]

Option 3

[ Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.]

Option 4

[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.]

[ After spending a few months at The Box, being dropped into cuddletown is about the most jarring case of mood whiplash June's ever had. She remembers dying -- more than once -- the last time a little too recently. Actually, it's the last thing she remembers before waking up here... So, not that June's ever been overly paranoid, this is starting to seem a little too good to be true. Anything's better than waking up in a fresh grave, though, and at least this place doesn't seem to have any shortage of food or too much in the way of deadly weather...

Someone cuddle this woman already. ]

[Weaving your way through crowds when you're only four feet tall can be a major challenge sometimes, and with another bout of festival preparations under way, the crowds are thicker than ever.]

Excuse me, coming through, could you please move just a little to the-- just to the left, please, I can't get a clear shot--

OOF!!

[His very polite little voice is cut off as he manages to get tripped up in the tangled forest of legs all around him, instinctively grabbing for the nearest thing to prevent his fall: June's arm.

Needless to say her arm doesn't do much to stop his weight and so he goes crashing down, possibly bringing the lady down with him.]

[ June doesn't even see him coming -- the next thing she knows something's pulling her by the arm and it catches her off guard enough that she goes right down with it with a strangled yell of surprise. ]

Ow, what -- Rewind?

[ She had met him a few times back at that horror show, so she recognizes him, but he's...a lot smaller than she remembers. ]

( She'd gotten better navigating the crowds - at slightly less than twice an average human size, she's run into a problem. Organics can't seem to decide if they're going to give her a clear walking path or crowd around her, her face out of their view enough that they tend to forget she's there at all. Which is how she bumps into the woman, twisting around to apologize and almost bumping into someone else. Oh no. )

Sorry, sorry- it's just that I'm still not used to walking around crowds of organics.

( By way of an apology, and she crouches down to be on something more of an eye level with the first person she ran into. )

[ Aw, Nautica, nice of you to worry, but while June stumbles a little she doesn't seem to be hurt or anything. She brushes off her arm and tilts her head up to give Nautica a slightly sheepish grin. ]

Oh -- no, really, it's all right. I'm fine.

[ She spots the badge on Nautica's chest, too, and her face brightens a little. ]

Oh! You're an Autobot, huh?

[nerdica]

Autobot-- Oh! Yes.

( She smiles, a gesture with her wrench that means she nearly clobbers some other poor organic with it - shrinking back the moment she realizes it. )

Human? You look, human. Which must mean... you know them from-- Eart? _{That's how Windblade said it...}

[ Aw, Nautica, you're kind of precious. Careful with that wrench there, though. June grins a little, clasping her hands behind her back. ]

Earth. You were close. I take it you've never been?

[nerdica]

No, never. I've only recently been to Cybertron, and that's where we come from.

( Sort of. It's complicated. )

I didn't think they had a particularly friendly experience on -- Earth -- the last time they were there.
