Welcome to the Rekindle Test Drive!Trying to see if a character will fit or work in the setting? Need some interaction samples? Well this meme is for you! Make a post, tag around, and most importantly, have fun! Here's the setting page for those who want to learn a little more about the city itself. Then don't forget to go reserve your character in a week when they open. Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it: | | Option 1 | [With summer coming, the water level in the river is starting to go down, exposing some of the riverbank. The Riverside Shack is open late, and its restaurant is pulling out all the stops and offering seafood specials (even though a river is a far cry from an ocean). The rental store, meanwhile, is finally bringing out more of its swimming supplies, inner tubes and pool noodles, and a calmer stretch of the river has been roped off with buoys for swimming. They even have lifeguards chairs set up. Clearly this sort of thing used to be an annual event.
It's not quite an ocean beach (quite different actually), but there's still plenty of chance to have fun in the water. Or teach someone to swim, perhaps.] | | Option 2 | [With a new district available to the public, there are new places to visit. However there are also questions with each new arrival. One may find themselves headed for Saeng Seong's town hall and government buildings in search of answers. Whether it be more reasons for why they're here, or simply looking for an attorney to sue the unnamed scientists that brought you here.
(However, they may be slightly prejudiced to this one. You've been warned.)] | | Option 3 | [There are certainly a lot of different options for shopping in the city. Perhaps one of the more interesting and eclectic of these options, however, is the outdoor Marketplace in District 3. All sorts of fresh food stalls line the large open area, with different aisles that can be walked down. There's food of all kinds here - fruits, diary, vegetables, and so on and so forth. Some of it will likely be familiar, but other kinds may be so foreign as to be unrecognizable - a orange, seemingly hollow kind of fruit with holes like swiss cheese, for example, or salad greens with leaves the size of heads of pins. You are on a different world, after all.
So wander the marketplace! Discover something new! And perhaps meet other curious people such as yourself...] | | Option 4 | [Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.] | | Option 5 | [If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.] |

i hope this is okay
He was looking for some sausage and maybe beer. Or if he couldn't find either of those, than the things to make his own sausages. He hadn't made his own in a long time, but he could.
He was walking past a fruit and and vegetable stand when he heard the sneeze. His nose wrinkled and he turned to lecture the person for coming out to shop when they were sick when he saw who it was]
Italia? [there was no mistaking that curl, and his hair was the right color, definitely North Italy, not South]
Perfectly alright~
[ There was no mistaking that voice though. That familiar voice that seemed to always be there when he was in need. He turns seeing the familiar blond hair and blue eyed Country, Germany, he couldn't help but smile even though he looks like he is starting to turn paler. ]
Germany! Germany! Ciao! [ He couldn't help himself. Italy drops the tomato and gets right into Germany's personal space. ] Are you really here? Or is this just all in my head? Germany!
no subject
Ja, I'm here. What have I told you about going out when you're sick? [he's had to have given this lecture to Italy before. He's given it to everyone else]
no subject
I wasn't sneezing until I couldn't decide on what tomatoes to get for making pasta! You always know what to get! [ He looks at Germany. Although he seems like he's not really all there at first. Maybe he was just thinking about... cats... and siestas. A siesta would make him feel better! He would do that later. He's completely neglected Germany's question. ]
no subject
You should not be cooking when you are not feeling well.
no subject
But... [ His lips quiver as he starts to look really sad. You know what this means, Germany. ] I just wanted to make pasta so it feels comfortable living here.
no subject
[he paused for a moment, all of his instincts saying Italy needed soup and rest. But he could also understand the need for something familiar. He thought for a moment before nodding] Then I will make you pasta. [though it wouldn't be Italy's kind]
[he's already switching gears and moves over to the vegetables to look at the spinach. Spinatspaetzle should be similar to pesto... at least, they were both green]
no subject
You will? [ A wide smile spreads his lips as he stays close to Germany. When he moves to his side he wobbles a tad, bumping into Germany's side but still smiles none the less. The slightest contact made him feel better. ] Ve~ Germany! You always know what to do!
no subject
I will make pasta from my home. [it will taste the same, right? Oh who was he kidding, Italy would probably not like it, but he would try. He also gets an onion before moving to find the rest of the ingredients]
no subject
Pasta! [ He smiles as he looks at a few more ingredients, pointing some of them out to Germany. Italy looks at Germany and as he feels a sneeze coming he covers most of his mouth as he can as it comes out. ] Is your pasta from home different from mine?
no subject
no subject
Your pasta seems to sound good. Do you use sauce at all? [ If no tomatoes it must taste a bit plain unless the variety of vegetables, salt and almonds gave it more flavor. Italy wouldn't have thought to pick up these things. The oil helped to keep the noodles loose, so he would have picked that up. ] Do we need to pick up bread too?
no subject
It is not a sauced pasta, the noodles are moist and are flavored with the spinach, salt, onions, and almonds. The version I am making has the spinach cooked into the noodle. [he considers the necessity of bread] Bread is unnecessary. [he picks up a package of sausage for later. Once he has all of the ingredients he'll start heading to his new home]
no subject
Tomatoes are delicious though! They get used in all sorts of sauces! Why should they be every once in a while foods? [ They probably shared a similar topic before but Italy doesn't completely remember the conversation. Throw a grenade! Pull the pin, too the pin, keep the gernade in mouth! That sounded right! ]
no subject
Too much of even good things are bad for you. [there he comes off as concerned and still declines tomatoes. At least, that is his intention... probably doesn't translate clearly from brain to face]
no subject
I see. [ Does that even include certain good relationships? Like their friendship? Italy glances down towards the ground in his thoughts. He seems worried about something and sneezes again. A shiver comes this time too like he's suddenly cold. ] Does that mean all good things? [ He looks up at Germany with the tiniest bit of a frown. ]
no subject
[Germany looks over at Italy. He's not good with emotions, but he could tell that there was something wrong. There was the illness that seemed to get worse right before his eyes. And then there was the question. Why would Italy ask such a question?]
Er... What do you mean? [he sounds really unsure]
no subject
no subject
[oh that's what Italy was worried about. He stops and looks over at his friend. He wished he had a book that could tell him what the right thing to do was. But he didn't so he had to trust his instincts and hope they didn't lead him astray.
He moved closer to Italy and hugged him. It wasn't often that Germany would initiate physical contact, but in this case, he didn't know the right thing to say. He thought a hug would convey his feelings better]
no subject
He also started to feel less sick as well and more energetic by Germany's rarest of hugs.] Germany! Germany! You're hugging me!
no subject
Ja, don't say something like that again. [it hurt somehow when Italy questioned their friendship. He didn't think those types of things could hurt]
no subject
[ He laughs, looking up at Germany with a wide smile on his face. ] I won't question our friendship again.
no subject
Gut, now lets continue home.
no subject
Okay! [He grabs hold of Germany's hand.] Lead the way!
