Welcome to the Rekindle Test Drive! Trying to see if a character will fit or work in the setting? Need some interaction samples? Well this meme is for you! Make a post, tag around, and most importantly, have fun! Here's the setting page for those who want to learn a little more about the city itself. Then don't forget to go reserve your character in a week when they open. Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it:

Option 1

[The midsummer heat is still in full swing. But that's okay - enterprising residents on the riverbanks are renting out innertubes for you to float along the cool waters in. The catch? They're innertubes for two, and you're sharing with the person ahead of/behind you in line! Get nice and cozy, you two.]

Option 2

[There's something odd about some of the shops in the third district. There doesn't seem to be any pattern - it's something that can be found in all sorts of establishments. But if you see the twin daisy sign in the window, it turns out that you can get a discount when making a purchase with someone else. It could be someone you know, or someone new entirely, but so long as you both reach the checkout at the same time, you get the discount - a pretty substantial one too! So hey, look and see if there's anyone else shopping with you! Could be a great way to stretch the allowance you've been given.]

Option 3

[Even if there are no children among the natives, it doesn't stop the adults from being a little immature - or maybe the heat's just getting to them. If you glance around, you might notice almost-hidden baskets of water balloons, tucked under benches and against trash cans... If you didn't notice, though, it might be an awful surprise when one hits the back of your head. And when you whip around to look - well, it's probably not immediately obvious who the culprit is. Will you brush it off, yell and scream, or take revenge on the town at large?]

Option 4

[Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.]

Option 5

[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.]

Option 1

[Kara's mostly just going on this ride for fun. She notices the heat, in the same way a normal person might notice a light breeze, but it doesn't bother her. Still, she's not gonna miss an opportunity to do something fun. Reaching the front of the line, she turns and grims at the person behind her.] You ready?

Option 2

[Kara loves her uniform, but it's all she had on her at the time, and she's thinking she should probably pick up some other clothes. She's got her eye on a particular white sundress (and her mind on whether she could get a crest emblazoned on it. There's no reason not to flaunt her identity here.) Now she just needs to find someone to go up with her. She glances around quickly, trying to see if she can spot someone who looks both friendly and ready for checkout.]

[He is sure he didn't make an offer. But he isn't going to tell Fai that he is incorrect about it. He'll just go along with whatever.]

A couple of days. [Which means none of the side-effects of being an unsociable loser have kicked in yet, yay! He could give Fai more to work off as far as responses go but gregariousness is not a gift he was handed by the gods.]

[This face says "how are you not dead yet." A seven year old raised in a church is better at life than you, Satoshi.

Green beans -> basket. Peas -> basket. Sack of apples -> mostly the basket. He does drop one, though.]

He picks up a basket for them and puts the stuff in it.]

[He glances back towards Argentine. No, he doesn't hold his opinion in high esteem. That is an outlandish thought.] He has a different approach to this sort of thing than I do.

You appreciate his approach.

[Otherwise why else give Argentine to him? And let him have so much Hikari works??]

Shinjiro Aragaki | Persona 3

Option 3:
[Shinjiro is used to dealing with 'childish' people...his dormitory back home is full of them. That doesn't mean he appreciates their antics. He skulks down the street in his usual attire despite the heat...until a weight hits the back of his neck and explodes into a mass of cold water which will make its way down his back. He arches forwards with a hiss in an attempt to contain his surprise, then turns around with the sourest of looks to shoot at the culprit.]

Option 4:

[Shinjiro knew the rules well enough, and had been getting by well enough with the contact he'd been giving and receiving. Back pats, hand shaking once or twice...it wasn't too bad.

Not using his persona, he didn't notice anything strange until that morning, waking up with a sore throat and the sniffles. Mistaking it for a cold, he was determined not to let what was a minor annoyance in his eyes ruin his plans for the day. He had things to do. Moping around wasn't going to fix a thing.

Maybe a quick rest on a bench will help him. Once his bearings were regained, he'd trek the rest of the way home and make some tea.]

Unfortunately the nearest bench has someone standing next to it. A shirtless girl in a very elaborate, abstract black tattoo and what looked like a fin on the back of her neck.

As Shinjiro sits down and situates himself, he realizes there's someone else standing there. You'd think a growing teenage boy would notice the half-naked and inked girl standing there beside the bench at the start, but his head's pretty foggy.

He instinctively slides to the opposite side of the bench, trying not to let her appearance bother him. It's apparent that it's had some effect, though: his face is red. It's probably just the illness setting in faster...except not really.

He clears his throat. She can sit if she wants.

She turns her head when he clears his throat, looking at him with golden eyes.

"What?" Another teen who's never seen boobs?

[redpeacoat]

He has totally seen real boobs before. Just...not like this.

With a shark fin jutting out of the back of her neck and glowing yellow eyes, this girl screams bizarre. But maybe it's a good kind of bizarre? She's not shy about her appearance, and her response gives him the sense that she's not quick to anger.

"You can sit if you want. I won't be here long." He ends with a cough.

He's lucky Shura is a little calmer than when she first came to Saeng Seong. She would be much quicker to anger otherwise.

"You don't look too good. You gonna be okay?"

[redpeacoat]

"You don't need to worry about me." Shinjiro isn't used to being on the receiving end when it comes to helping others. If he let a common cold stop him, what good was he? In the back of his mind, he ponders if maybe he deserves this cold, but quickly focuses on other things.

[Argentine's feelings on both families are a little mixed and complicated but his feelings on Daisuke and Satoshi are pretty simple.]

...He will probably want you to make friends.
