Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it:

Option 1

[The mid-summer rays are beginning to subside at last, giving way to a few cooler breezes here and there as the sun begins to set and the moons rise in the sky. So what does that mean? Well, for the locals, it means it's time to begin preparations for the autumnal festival! The reds, oranges, and yellows take on a more rustic tone in the streets as the venders set up their outdoor marketplace stands, selling all kinds of treats and delicacies.

From fresh corn and pretzels, to strange fruits that may look like those from home (although different in color, not taste), these vendors seem to have it all! Though in a few stands, it seems as though there are snacks and desserts meant to be split in two or shared with another. They also seem to be very fond of giving discounts to couples...

Oh, my...]

Option 2

[Everything on the riverbank seems to be the norm for every other day: Vendors renting out innertubes for two, others selling ice cream and watermelon during the still warm days, and even a few water balloons still being tossed around or kept hidden nearby.

At night, however, there seems to be a gathering at the water's edge as some hold little paper lanterns, aglow with small candles inside them as they gleam golden in the moonlight. The locals say that wishing on them as you let them float into the air brings you good luck, and makes that wish come true. But that's just a silly rumor, isn't it?

At least it's pretty, along with the small candles floating on the water's surface...]

Option 3

[It doesn't matter where you are or what you were doing. All that matters is you've suddenly been hit with the chills (or did the temperature suddenly skyrocket?) and they don't seem to be going away just yet.

Yep. Those wacky scientists seem to be at it again... At least it should pass soon, but whether it be chills or being far too hot, maybe you should...find someone else with this problem. After all, even the face of the medical community says that it will only be fixed by hugging or holding someone's hand.]

Option 4

[Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.]

Option 5

[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.]

[Homura forces a sigh in Madoka's direction, as if to display some exaggeration. It isn't entirely convincing.]

It would be wise to keep it that way. You wouldn't want others to worry needlessly.

What's there to worry about? There are no witches here.

[ Which means Madoka isn't going to go off into battle anytime soon. She's too much of a scaredy-cat to do that (unless of course a cat is in danger). ]

[Homura frowns pointedly. Now she looks a little annoyed.]

You still possess a Soul Gem.

[--no, that's probably too much information for right now, so she adds:]

We may have not seen a witch yet, but that does not mean they cannot appear.

[ Good call. Madoka doesn't quite understand what she means by pointing out the Soul Gem, but she'll hold up her hand with the ring on it. ]

Yes, but without witches to fight... it'll be alright?

[ Her uncertainty comes out in her tone strong. Why was Homura bringing that up? ]

[Said too much. She blinks slowly, weighing the pros and cons of honesty before she turns back around to face Madoka head on.]

I merely meant that we should not let our guard down just yet.

[Her head tilts.]

Do you feel unwell?

Um, I'm just wondering what will happen if we're unable to collect Grief seeds.

[ If anything, there's one person between them that can be honest. ]

We'll lose the ability to fight, won't we?

[She does not like lying to Madoka.]

I have enough to last for some time yet. There is no reason to be concerned about them.

Eee, Homura-chan really is so cool! When did you have the time to collect so many?

[ At least she's painfully naive and makes it easy to lie to. ]

I am particularly skilled at making time for things.

[The most serious face in the world.]

Wow, you're serious about that...

[ Feeling the weight of her expression right about now. ]

[Awkward. But at least it got her to drop the subject. She glances back toward the food stand, which probably has a very confused vendor.]

If you didn't want one of these, there are others.

We have to try one of everything, remember?

[ Not that Homura ever agreed to it, but Madoka is persistent even when the odds are against her. ]

You can make time for that too, right?

I suppose.

[She steps to the side. Ladies first. ~~And she has the cash.~~]

[ Yeah, that's right, who wears the pants in this duo? ]

Two p-p-p... [ It takes her a moment to realize she's speaking with a boy just a little over her age who's insisting that she finishes her order quickly. Boys. ] Please and thank you..!!

[ The last part comes out a bit forced and with a higher pitch. But hey, at least they got their cupcakes. Somehow she's able to hand over the sweet dough for even sweeter dough in return and there she goes retreating a respectable distance.

WHEW that was close. ]

[Homura digests the entire interaction with probably too much interest. She gives the boy a bit of a stern look after Madoka has turned her back and she's taken her cupcake. Homura's hand lingers over the pastry until the vendor gets uncomfortable and turns away from her. Only after that does she stride away and back toward Madoka. Yeah, you better run asshole.

She takes a moment to eye the cherry on top of the cupcake, trying to remember the last time she had even had a dessert with one on top of it. Instead, she recalls the shortlived battle with the dessert witch and lifts her head to glance in Madoka's direction in order to distract herself.]

Have you seen that boy before?

No, I'm just... um, its kind of a dumb thing.

[ Poking the front of her shoe into the ground a bit, she watches the dirt and grass move up around it. Easier to stare at that then the desserts in hand or her friend. ]

Sayaka-chan is the one who usually spoke to boys for us.

[That makes sense, she thinks. With a rich girl like Hitomi and a confident loud-mouth like Sayaka as friends, it was no wonder Madoka had been so shy around him.]

Be confident, Madoka Kaname. You have no qualities to be ashamed of, and I would not permit anyone to have you believe otherwise.

[Well, there's that thing about you being a magical girl and everything, but that can't be helped now so its omitted from the list.]

I told you it was stupid... I shouldn't get so worked up about it, but stupid me will never learn how to talk to boys properly!

[ So there may be another issue underneath all of that. Without her best friend here, she's having a lot more trouble adjusting to it. ]

Sorry... I didn't mean to raise my voice at you, Homura-chan.

[Funny that Madoka's biggest concerns have routed right back to talking to boys, despite her contract (even if her contract had been naive to begin with).]

No. You shouldn't.

[Not like Homura can talk to anyone properly. But she won't bring that up.]

But I will speak to them instead.

You'd do that for me?

[ Strange, why does Homura always offer to do those kind of things? It puzzles her, but since she's never been all that clever to start with, the question is dismissed quickly. ]

I should learn how to talk with them here. There's a large amount of them in this place.

I would.

[Homura shrugs and glances back at the stand briefly before looking back to her friend.]

If you would rather learn, it would be best to approach them yourself. I will be there either way.

[ A soft hum. ] I think it'll be easier to conquer that fear with you at my side, Homura-chan.

I'll practice here bit by bit until it is no longer a problem!
