Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it:

Option 1

[The mid-summer rays are beginning to subside at last, giving way to a few cooler breezes here and there as the sun begins to set and the moons rise in the sky. So what does that mean? Well, for the locals, it means it's time to begin preparations for the autumnal festival! The reds, oranges, and yellows take on a more rustic tone in the streets as the venders set up their outdoor marketplace stands, selling all kinds of treats and delicacies.

From fresh corn and pretzels, to strange fruits that may look like those from home (although different in color, not taste), these vendors seem to have it all! Though in a few stands, it seems as though there are snacks and desserts meant to be split in two or shared with another. They also seem to be very fond of giving discounts to couples...

Oh, my...]

Option 2

[Everything on the riverbank seems to be the norm for every other day: Vendors renting out innertubes for two, others selling ice cream and watermelon during the still warm days, and even a few water balloons still being tossed around or kept hidden nearby.

At night, however, there seems to be a gathering at the water's edge as some hold little paper lanterns, aglow with small candles inside them as they gleam golden in the moonlight. The locals say that wishing on them as you let them float into the air brings you good luck, and makes that wish come true. But that's just a silly rumor, isn't it?

At least it's pretty, along with the small candles floating on the water's surface...]

Option 3

[It doesn't matter where you are or what you were doing. All that matters is you've suddenly been hit with the chills (or did the temperature suddenly skyrocket?) and they don't seem to be going away just yet.

Yep. Those wacky scientists seem to be at it again... At least it should pass soon, but whether it be chills or being far too hot, maybe you should...find someone else with this problem. After all, even the face of the medical community says that it will only be fixed by hugging or holding someone's hand.]

Option 4

[Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.]

Option 5

[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.]

[Well, that settles that. In no time at all (and with a rather unique noise) he's folding in on himself, shrinking and re-shaping into a damn speedy-looking car.

Which proceeds to open its own door closest to Duo.]

[It was a small risk, he'd thought, but he didn't expect the robot shifting forms, in a way most mobile suits never could.

Needless to say he was impressed, aaand maybe a little shocked.]

Guess you're driving. [He hopped in the passenger seat, and wisely put on the seat belt.]

[Now his voice comes from a small, flashing radio on the dashboard.] I will be until the streets narrow. From then on we can walk the rest of the way, unless we happen to find an alternate road leading directly to the beach, which is a possibility.

[A wise decision, that seat belt, 'cause once he's off he's off. Like, well, a blurr.]

Yeah. Sounds about the only way we can do it. No scenic route, is there?

Whoa!

[Way to make a guy white knuckle the handlebar, Blurr!]

[Don't you worry, he's got fast enough reaction time for this to be a safe drive. Although he may not have accounted for any jostling such speedy turns might cause...

In any case, it won't take them very long to get where they're going at all at this rate.]

[He adjusted quickly, he'd just never been in a car that accelerated that quickly. On the other hand most of his own quick accelerations had zero G to take some of the blow.

From there, he looked out the window, watching the mouth of the river open up to the lake.]

[Surprisingly, he isn't much of a talker in vehicle mode, so the ride's pretty quiet until the roads finally get a little cramped and he stops just as abruptly as he started.]

I'm can't safely drive any further. I believe this is where we should start walking.

[He undoes the seat belt and hops out of the car, closing the door.]

Yeah, it doesn't look far either.

So, big guy? You got a name?

[As soon as the door's shut he shifts back into robot mode. Another chill, eugh.]

The name's Blurr. I assume you also have a name?

It's Duo.

[He picked up speed to a brisk walk over towards the beach, scanning the ground as he walked for wood and kindling.]

Got any ideas as to what the deal is with the physical affection thing?

[Following suit after him, resuming the high-speed chatter.]

As you suggested it could be a coolant malfunction, which isn't out of the question considering damage I may have taken prior to my arrival here. Nothing else seems to be out of the ordinary, however, so that will be kept in mind as a worst case scenario. This may also be an effect of lacking physical contact; the explanations I was given concerning that were unclear in certain areas. I haven't had any reason to ask around about such effects until today, either, since it happened so suddenly.

[You know Blurr, you really got a knack for keeping the attention on you.]

You need it, though, I'm okay with it. [He picked up another few branches off the ground as they neared closer to the beach.]

If you show me the component and tell me what It's supposed to look like I could try to see if it's broken. I'd like to think I'm good enough to figure it out.

[So he's been told, yes.]

What sort of experience with machinery do you have? You obviously have it, I'd just like to know to what extent.

[Friendly reminder.]

I'm a mechanic, kinda understudied an engineer for a while. Aside from that I've got a mobile suit I pilot and maintain.

That's what I thought you might have had someone inside of you.

Plenty of experience, then. [Whatever a mobile suit is. Something as big as he is, apparently.

He's still obviously hesitant, but the opportunity to get this looked at sooner rather than later is extremely tempting.]

I'll let you have a look, but don't be poking around too much, okay? If you're unsure of what something is, ask before you touch it. And if I ask you to stop, stop. Agreed?

[Probably bigger.]

Don't think it'll be much of a problem if it's only one thing. If not we'll hope the fire works.

[Finally on the beach, he walks towards the center with his bundle of sticks and digs small hole in he sand. Pulling back to his pocket, he pulls out a lighter and some paper, an old receipt, and lit it on fire, getting the kindling going.]

I don't plan on getting too intimate with your parts today. Kinda figure I should be able to tell if the components are off or not.

[~~Definitely bigger.~~]

Right. It should be simple enough, I only wanted to make sure that was understood.

[He sits down in the sand to get closer to Duo's level, and with a slight depressurizing hiss his chest plate swings down. What's inside honestly doesn't look too unlike a racing car's engine bay, although in the center of it all there was a large, circular hatch.]

[He got the fire going good before pulling away and looking and approaching to the hatch.

The center, some kind of power core.]
