Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it:

Option 1

[The mid-summer rays are beginning to subside at last, giving way to a few cooler breezes here and there as the sun begins to set and the moons rise in the sky. So what does that mean? Well, for the locals, it means it's time to begin preparations for the autumnal festival! The reds, oranges, and yellows take on a more rustic tone in the streets as the venders set up their outdoor marketplace stands, selling all kinds of treats and delicacies. From fresh corn and pretzels, to strange fruits that may look like those from home (although different in color, not taste), these vendors seem to have it all! Though in a few stands, it seems as though there are snacks and desserts meant to be split in two or shared with another. They also seem to be very fond of giving discounts to couples... Oh, my...]

Option 2

[Everything on the riverbank seems to be the norm for every other day: Vendors renting out innertubes for two, others selling ice cream and watermelon during the still warm days, and even a few water balloons still being tossed around or kept hidden nearby. At night, however, there seems to be a gathering at the water's edge as some hold little paper lanterns, aglow with small candles inside them as they gleam golden in the moonlight. The locals say that wishing on them as you let them float into the air brings you good luck, and makes that wish come true. But that's just a silly rumor, isn't it? At least it's pretty, along with the small candles floating on the water's surface...]

Option 3

[It doesn't matter where you are or what you were doing. All that matters is you've suddenly been hit with the chills (or did the temperature suddenly skyrocket?) and they don't seem to be going away just yet. Yep. Those wacky scientists seem to be at it again... At least it should pass soon, but whether it be chills or being far too hot, maybe you should...find someone else with this problem. After all, even the face of the medical community says that it will only be fixed by hugging or holding someone's hand.]

Option 4

[Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.]

Option 5

[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.]

[His voice faded off. Hold up Wall Man. Regular civilian babe asking that question. He corrected himself.]

Meeeeegan. Is she a friend of yours? -She's my friend too. [Perhaps his best West smile will help to cover for that "mispronunciation."]

[ She can't help but roll her eyes. ]

Yeah, she's a friend. [ And if he knows her as M'gann then he's probably part of her team-that-isn't-teen-titans. ] How do you know each other?

[Oh shoot what was that fictional excuse to explain knowing her? He was typically just introduced as one of Conner's buddies from the last town he lived in or something of the sort.]

Our uncles are friends. [Well it's true.] We met at one of those bring your kid to work day events- we got to go since neither of our uncles have their own children. [There that's a totally believable story isn't it? Good job Man, that was clever.]

[ She blinks for a moment. That was actually a reasonably coherent story. How many superheroes were nieces or nephews to other superheroes? Well, that didn't include throwing 'uncle' in as a nonspecific relative. ]

So your uncle's a detective? That's what her uncle does. [ Or at least, it is in her universe, according to Batman's files. It can't hurt to ask. ]

Yeah. Well my uncle Barry focuses more on the forensics end of things, but they're both law enforcement.

[Hey this was turning out really legit sounding! He'd have to remember this story and tell M'gann about it later on.]

So you uh met Megan here in the city?

[ichoosefight]

[ Barry. Well that settles it then, he must be one of the flashes. She doesn't know which, but does it really matter? They all have the same powers. She smiles and nods her sudden understanding. ]

Yeah, first day actually. I'm Steph.

[selfmadespeedster]

Nice meeting you Steph. I'm Wally. So where are you from?

[He says it all in a smug tone he often uses when he meets a lady.]

Newark. [ The lie comes easily. ] You? And what did you need with Megan?

I'm from Central City area. [As for M'gann. Oh shoot, you can't just tell a girl "I intend to go hug your friend." Even boyfriends didn't talk that way usually.]

Juuuust going to check on her. Ask her opinion on the whole physical contact withdrawal flu being real or not. She's been here longer and all.

[ The truth is coming clearer and clearer. ]

I can tell you that. It's definitely true. It's nasty, too, and it doesn't get better unless you make contact.
