Test Drive - May Edition
![]() Belated May Test Drive! Trying to see if a character will fit or work in the setting? Need some interaction samples? Well this meme is for you! Make a post, tag around, and most importantly, have fun! Here's the setting page for those who want to learn a little more about the city itself. |
Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it: |
Option 1 |
[Animals, animals everywhere! All over the different parts of the city…And perhaps paying you a visit as well! In a strange manner, as you might find yourself looking over Saeng Seong in a different, more fuzzy perspective.] |
Option 2 |
[Petals keep falling on your head; or at least they have a persistent habit of falling from trees that are in full bloom. And as a consequence they form a nice array of color floating on the wind…Or perhaps getting in one’s face and blocking vision. Or in the worst case, causing a sneezing fit from the excess pollen. Still, at least there’s some flowers to help liven up the air?] |
Option 3 |
[Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.] |
Option 4 |
[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.] |
Kyoko Sakura | Puella Magi Madoka Magica
[There's no way this place really provides what they need to live. Life just doesn't work that way---everything has a price, and like hell is she about to indebt herself to anyone else as long as she lives. So there's only one option when it comes to the food and housing provided: reject it.
So that means using her sticky fingers! The second she sees opportunity, she swipes: a stray apple, the bag of chips atop a picnic basket, anything she can hoard in her trusty rusty bag. She's honed her craft over the years, but you might still catch the little thief trying to sneak away.]
option 3:
[Once it's clear that the weirdos really weren't kidding about the need to touch people, Kyoko deals with that need much like she deals with the need for food. She steals contact---pushing someone out of her way, tripping on someone and lingering a little too long, even crashing on top when she's desperate. For a while, it works.
But a few weeks into her stay, Kyoko's getting sloppy. It's getting harder and harder to successfully swipe a snack. She shivers in the dark every night. Waking up each morning feeling dizzy is even worse---she's taken to staying beside a tree, handy for pulling herself up with trembling hands.]
Come on, pull yourself together! Just a few steps and everything'll be fine...
[She doesn't sound convinced. But she's up now and hauling herself forward, ready to grab the first person she sees.]
Why hello thief; come to give the good detective a job?
...
[So imagine her interest when she sees that brilliant red head'd girl trying to make off with a box of candy; could this be the one they're dealing with? Hmm. That bag looks fuller than went it came in, besides...]
Did you overspend your card's allowance already this month, miss...?
no subject
[Perfectly untouched. She shrugs and makes an attempt to slip away.]
hope this is okay ;w;
So why would you feel the need to steal from honest business owners, I wonder...?
[Now, where was that box of candy? Best place to look was that bag of hers...]
tis' cool
Honest? Like hell! You know the crazy things this place is making us do?
no subject
[Not that Naoto was unsympathetic to the WHAT TOUCHING FUCK OFF scenario; she'd done something similar. But stealing was a bit unusual compared to the usual responses...
...And this girl certainly had slippery fingers. There was a particle pantry in her bag...]
Well, I suppose it's good you've at least been eating well, though I must ask; why are you avoiding using the charge card provided to us?
magical girl, meet ninja cat
Just don't reach in the bag unless you want to feel fur.]
hello there!
I'm wiped. Gotta work harder to stay in shape, I guess. But I'm not gonna stay healthy without good food either.
[She digs in, grabbing for an apple and finding---something that's not food. She startles and yanks her nearby lamp down, pointing the light suspiciously at the bag.]
What the---?!
=^_^=
[Surprise! She had found a little black kitten sitting in her bag, pawing at the light because bright lights are fun to play with. Kittens are usually good for distractions such as the one where the young man had followed her all the way to her hidey hole and is waiting for the right moment to speak up. But for now, Banchou wanted some pets. If she was willing to give them.]

[Of course it's a black cat. Witches, magic. It all follows her around, doesn't it? She pinches between her eyes and sighs. It's almost pathetically cute, she thinks, as she lifts it by the scruff out of the bag.
After a few solid moments of staring, she relents with the tiniest of smiles.]
You came because you're hungry, aren't you? I sure know how that feels. But you can't have that apple---here, cats eat stuff like this, right?
[She offers a bit of meat and a small dish of water]
