[For the sake of absolute necessity, Gaara acquires physical contact periodically. He certainly doesn’t appreciate losing control of his powers – not to mention, it’s dangerous for the general public. He still feels uncomfortable with asking others, so for the most part, he simply allows contact to happen. He has discovered that women seem to prefer it more than men, and girls have approached him several times before.
Discomfort or not, he presumes that everyone – all right, most of the others – would set aside those inhibitions for the sake of their health. It would be stupidity, plain and simple, to die from such a frivolous reason.
So when Gaara hears someone familiar calling for his attention, and he turns to face the speaker…
