Welcome to the Rekindle Test Drive!Trying to see if a character will fit or work in the setting? Need some interaction samples? Well this meme is for you! Make a post, tag around, and most importantly, have fun! Here's the setting page for those who want to learn a little more about the city itself. Then don't forget to go reserve your character in a week when they open. Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it: | | Option 1 | [With summer coming, the water level in the river is starting to go down, exposing some of the riverbank. The Riverside Shack is open late, and its restaurant is pulling out all the stops and offering seafood specials (even though a river is a far cry from an ocean). The rental store, meanwhile, is finally bringing out more of its swimming supplies, inner tubes and pool noodles, and a calmer stretch of the river has been roped off with buoys for swimming. They even have lifeguards chairs set up. Clearly this sort of thing used to be an annual event.
It's not quite an ocean beach (quite different actually), but there's still plenty of chance to have fun in the water. Or teach someone to swim, perhaps.] | | Option 2 | [With a new district available to the public, there are new places to visit. However there are also questions with each new arrival. One may find themselves headed for Saeng Seong's town hall and government buildings in search of answers. Whether it be more reasons for why they're here, or simply looking for an attorney to sue the unnamed scientists that brought you here.
(However, they may be slightly prejudiced to this one. You've been warned.)] | | Option 3 | [There are certainly a lot of different options for shopping in the city. Perhaps one of the more interesting and eclectic of these options, however, is the outdoor Marketplace in District 3. All sorts of fresh food stalls line the large open area, with different aisles that can be walked down. There's food of all kinds here - fruits, diary, vegetables, and so on and so forth. Some of it will likely be familiar, but other kinds may be so foreign as to be unrecognizable - a orange, seemingly hollow kind of fruit with holes like swiss cheese, for example, or salad greens with leaves the size of heads of pins. You are on a different world, after all.
So wander the marketplace! Discover something new! And perhaps meet other curious people such as yourself...] | | Option 4 | [Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.] | | Option 5 | [If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.] |

Spain! You are here too? [ He's smiling even though he's starting to look a little paler. When he moves even the slightest he wobbles. ] Which tomatoes should I get? Now that you're here I should get enough to make for an extra person!

But anyway.
Spain smiles at Italy but does not seem to notice that he seems a little off. Perhaps he is used to seeing him sort of incompetent but Spain could also just be that oblivious. ]
Yes, I wouldn't let you be here by yourself, would I?
[ Even though his presence had nothing to do with Italy. Spain reaches out and picks up two tomatoes. ]
These two look the best so far but you must use more than your eyes to figure out the best. You need to use all of your other senses as well. Including touch.

[ Italy was naturally spacing out, doing goofy things that not everyone understood. Being carefree, he tended to do whatever he wanted and whined when he didn't understand something. He was at least trying to learn things but it took him longer than most others. He was just better at other things. As Spain described that he needed to be doing more than just looking and needed to also touch the tomato. Italy stares at him with his usual blank stare. ]
I do touch the tomatoes though. [ Spain should have been more specific on what he meant. Italy missed whatever Spain may or may not have been hinting at. ] Picking it up and looking at it isn't enough? What else do you need to do? Do you need a firmer grip?

Spain holds out the two tomatoes that he picks up so that Italy can see the way he is basically just completely groping and fondling them. ]
See these two both look good.
[ OBSERVE AS HE SQUEEZES TOMATO A. It gets all squishy and weird. Ew. Inferior tomato, it goes back. ]
The tomato must be firm but not hard. Use your delicate fingers to test for the best.
[ He holds out Tomato B for Italy to molest on his own. ]
Go ahead, Italita.

If the tomato is firm than it's a good tomato? [ He looks at the tomato and takes it from him. Italy gives it a firm squeeze. It has some resistance. He blinks looking at the tomato and then back at Spain, smiling. ] So this one must be good? Ve~
[ As he goes to hand it back to Spain another sneeze sneaks up on him and his grip on the tomato loosens. ] Ah... booo... I was fine when I left... [ Italy isn't quite sure what to think of how he is feeling. Besides the feeling of him getting slightly sick. ]

Are you feeling all right? [ He puts his hand on Italy's forehead, not entirely sure what sort of temperature he's testing for, but more for the motion. ]

I was fine when I left my apartment. I started sneezing and then you showed up.
[ Even the slightest bit of contact made him feel better. Italy moves his head lower nuzzling the top of his head into Spain's palm. ] At least I don't feel dizzy anymore.
