Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it:

Option 1

[With summer coming, the water level in the river is starting to go down, exposing some of the riverbank. The Riverside Shack is open late, and its restaurant is pulling out all the stops and offering seafood specials (even though a river is a far cry from an ocean). The rental store, meanwhile, is finally bringing out more of its swimming supplies, inner tubes and pool noodles, and a calmer stretch of the river has been roped off with buoys for swimming. They even have lifeguards chairs set up. Clearly this sort of thing used to be an annual event.

It's not quite an ocean beach (quite different actually), but there's still plenty of chance to have fun in the water. Or teach someone to swim, perhaps.]

Option 2

[With a new district available to the public, there are new places to visit. However there are also questions with each new arrival. One may find themselves headed for Saeng Seong's town hall and government buildings in search of answers. Whether it be more reasons for why they're here, or simply looking for an attorney to sue the unnamed scientists that brought you here.

(However, they may be slightly prejudiced to this one. You've been warned.)]

Option 3

[There are certainly a lot of different options for shopping in the city. Perhaps one of the more interesting and eclectic of these options, however, is the outdoor Marketplace in District 3. All sorts of fresh food stalls line the large open area, with different aisles that can be walked down. There's food of all kinds here - fruits, diary, vegetables, and so on and so forth. Some of it will likely be familiar, but other kinds may be so foreign as to be unrecognizable - a orange, seemingly hollow kind of fruit with holes like swiss cheese, for example, or salad greens with leaves the size of heads of pins. You are on a different world, after all.

So wander the marketplace! Discover something new! And perhaps meet other curious people such as yourself...]

Option 4

[Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.]

Option 5

[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.]

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

[ Steph has none of those feelings towards Bruce, and is in fact sometimes quite bitter towards him. But she doesn't extend that to Robin, and she does her best to support him gently and maintain physical contact as much as possible. He does seem to be feeling better. ]

I'm sure he tried with the first one, but she's as much of the family now as he is. The second one he treated like a daughter.

[He squirms involuntarily at the word 'daughter.' He tries not to be jealous, but it's clearly not working. He knows it isn't right -- Bruce always treated him like a son, after all, who is he to talk?

Still, that doesn't jive with the Batman he knows. If Specimen A is "of the family" and Specimen B is "like a daughter," then Specimen C shouldn't be any different.

Heck. If Robin is honest with himself, Bruce might not be particularly parental about Artemis or Conner, but he was... not encouraging, not exactly, but he never stood in their way. He'd never seriously tried to hinder any of them-- he'd threatened to, but he'd allowed them to convince him otherwise.]

It's not like him to be that... inconsistent.

[And you're clearly awesome, so.]

No? [ She chuckles, aiming for ironic but landing flat. There's a lot of baggage there. Memories of them working together, of him turning her away, praise, criticism, hiring her on as Robin, firing her for real, the lies, the gang war. 'Inconsistent' is definitely the word she would choose. ]

I always knew I was special.

[ Well screw him, that's what. ]

That or he's finally lost his marbles.

[He really, really hopes that's not the case. But Bruce is such a... weird person. An altruist to the core, but still with that scary dark thing deep inside that drove him...]

But the two aren't mutually exclusive.

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you totally think he isn't crazy. No, that's cool, that's a legitimate world-view.

The "hasn't been caught" [except by Ra's al Ghul] thing seems to support that particular world-view.

[Not that-- not that he speaks with all that much conviction. Bruce is such a weird person...]

Although. How old is-- how old is he?

[If the League doesn't keep him on his rocker, he could see his way to seeing... Eventually...]

[ She sobers at the question, not at all sure how she should answer. And anyway how old was Bruce, when he died? ]

40s, I think. He was always more of like... an insane genius. You know? I mean seriously, look at what you're wearing. But it works. No sane person would be able to make that work.

He's 32 when I'm from.

[He tries the words out in his mind, and doesn't want to admit how well they work. But considering he wants to avoid being Batman at all costs, it's probably time to admit that's a big reason why...]

This is heavily padded armor.

[Weak justification.]

So you admit he's high-functioning.

Yeah, well, be glad you missed out on the scaly underoos. [ She'll just let your imagination fill in the blanks there. ]

[No. He can't imagine that.]

Padded armor leggings?

[He sounds so hopeful...]

Pretty sure those legs were bare.

Uh-huh. Major arteries and New England winter notwithstanding.

Don't ask me. My Robin pioneered the pants movement.

Legless costumes seems more feminine and Batgirly if you ask me.

For that matter, do you have a permit to own your own Robin? I hear they're very high-maintenance.

[ She grins widely, choosing to focus on that second comment. ]

He was a volunteer. I took very good care of him. [ We'll just conveniently forget of the times when things weren't so good. ]

Followed you home and decided to keep him?

Sounds like another strike against you from the boss.

[ She actually laughs out loud at that - what a perfect metaphor. ]

What can I say? He's just so cute when he blushes. [ And it is so, so easy to make him blush. ]

And he thinks you're cute, too?

Yeah. [ She smiles fondly at the ground (careful not to direct that look at this Robin, lest he think she's implying something about their relationship.) before her smile falters a little. ]

Or he used to, anyway. I haven't seen him in a long while. [ Not since he went ape-shit and left Gotham. ]

[The deferral is noted and accepted, but, even if she's way out of his League anyway...]

He'd have to be blind or stupid to stop thinking that.

That and you can probably break his face, right?

[Face-breaking is a very important Batskill.]

With or without the aid of a brick!

[ That probably sounded too cheery, didn't it. It is how they met. ]

You carry those in your utility belt?

[Obviously a joke... but man, it'd be kind of hilarious if it was true.]

It's not a bad strategy. He'd probably expect you to pull from the utility belt, and be ready for something like a Batarang or a taser.

Only for special occasions.

[ Man that would suck to carry around though. ]
