Test Drive Meme!
![]() Welcome to the Rekindle Test Drive! Trying to see if a character will fit or work in the setting? Need some interaction samples? Well this meme is for you! Make a post, tag around, and most importantly, have fun! Here's the setting page for those who want to learn a little more about the city itself. Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it: |
Option 1 |
[The midsummer heat is still in full swing. But that's okay - enterprising residents on the riverbanks are renting out innertubes for you to float along the cool waters in. The catch? They're innertubes for two, and you're sharing with the person ahead of/behind you in line! Get nice and cozy, you two.] |
Option 2 |
[There's something odd about some of the shops in the third district. There doesn't seem to be any pattern - it's something that can be found in all sorts of establishments. But if you see the twin daisy sign in the window, it turns out that you can get a discount when making a purchase with someone else. It could be someone you know, or someone new entirely, but so long as you both reach the checkout at the same time, you get the discount - a pretty substantial one too! So hey, look and see if there's anyone else shopping with you! Could be a great way to stretch the allowance you've been given.] |
Option 3 |
[Even if there are no children among the natives, it doesn't stop the adults from being a little immature - or maybe the heat's just getting to them. If you glance around, you might notice almost-hidden baskets of water balloons, tucked under benches and against trash cans... If you didn't notice, though, it might be an awful surprise when one hits the back of your head. And when you whip around to look - well, it's probably not immediately obvious who the culprit is. Will you brush it off, yell and scream, or take revenge on the town at large?] |
Option 4 |
[Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.] |
Option 5 |
[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.] |
Princess Looma Red Wind | Ben 10 Omniverse
[Looma here is abstaining from some of the more expected purchases, and is instead actually somewhat taken by the jewelry selection. Less by rings and anything with gems though, she's more interested in simple gold or silver adornments. Usually heavy necklaces or thick bracelets, all of which usually involve some sort of ornate design worked into the metal.
Sure, she's a warrior, and depending on your point of view she's almost barbaric, but that doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy the opportunity to dress up on occasion. Though, what she's buying may clash somewhat with the fact she's still wearing full armor and has a warhammer clasped to her belt. But whatever, she's got four arms to carry it all in, she'll manage. Once someone explains to her what that sign in the window means, anyway. Considering she's a little over eight feet tall, it's not exactly posted at eye level.]
Option 3
[WORD OF CAUTION: Looma here has no idea what a water balloon fight is. She will assume it's some sort of attack, albeit an incredibly weak one, and react as one would expect someone who relishes battle to react. And considering she can lift cars with two hands tied behind her back, you may want to clear up any confusion VERY QUICKLY.]
[She's noticed the water balloons stashed all over the place, but she has yet to piece together what they're for. Or what they are to begin with. Khoros certainly didn't have any similar tradition to fall back on, and her time on Earth had been rather limited, and these strange objects were not encountered. Perhaps someone would be willing to explain...]
option 2
Being curious and possibly a little nosy, Holiday looked over to see what this... person was looking at.

[Looma's lower two hands are clasped together, while she eagerly points to yet another bracelet that catches her eye. She's clearly enjoying this, and makes absolutely no effort to hide it.
One thing is worth noticing though: she's not asking how much anything costs. She's just choosing. Someone should probably make sure she's aware that her allowance is not limitless, because otherwise this could turn...problematic.]
Do you have any more like it? Oh, wait! How about that one!
[Aaand another piece catches her eye, and this time it's her upper left that points it out while the clerk tries to keep up. An intervention is definitely needed here.]

EVO?woman.]Have you been here a long time? You must be wealthy.
[Either she was different from the other locals or she didn't understand the concept of barter and trade where she hailed from.]
no subject
[She's in a good mood--for now--so the intrusion doesn't bother her. She even turns to speak to Holiday face-to-face, showing she is capable of proper courtesy. Even if her attention is still somewhat divided between the objects in the case and the puny scientist.]
I am Princess Looma Red Wind! I have plenty of wealth! And what I can't afford, my father certainly can! And if that isn't enough, it isn't as if anyone here could keep something from me.
[She's plainly dismissive of that idea, and removes it with a wave of her two right hands as if the thought were actually in the room to pester her. The notion that anyone here could stand against a Tetramand, let alone her, was preposterous!]
no subject
But this place is sort of... different. I'm not sure your royal blood will matter to the locals... [Her strength, on the other hand...]
no subject
[It's a thinly veiled threat, but she does not appear to be prepared to act on it immediately. All four hands are still nowhere near the warhammer she wears at her hip, though it certainly gives the clerk reason to pause.
As for Looma, more of her attention is devoted to Dr. Holiday than she'd previously seen fit to devote. She's not stupid, and Holiday's questioning is something she's decided is worth investigating.]
Is there a reason you've seen fit to intrude upon my personal affairs, human?
no subject
I just don't want to see anyone hurt, you see. I'm a doctor and I've always found that the best is prevention.
no subject
[By, say, refusing to sell her what she wants. Though that discount could probably help...if she knew that was even a thing that existed in the first place.]

[Because it's a royal endorsement, obviously.]

I don't think that's going to work with them, and they probably cost a lot... Maybe we should... find something... that's free...
