Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it:

Option 1

[The midsummer heat is still in full swing. But that's okay - enterprising residents on the riverbanks are renting out innertubes for you to float along the cool waters in. The catch? They're innertubes for two, and you're sharing with the person ahead of/behind you in line! Get nice and cozy, you two.]

Option 2

[There's something odd about some of the shops in the third district. There doesn't seem to be any pattern - it's something that can be found in all sorts of establishments. But if you see the twin daisy sign in the window, it turns out that you can get a discount when making a purchase with someone else. It could be someone you know, or someone new entirely, but so long as you both reach the checkout at the same time, you get the discount - a pretty substantial one too! So hey, look and see if there's anyone else shopping with you! Could be a great way to stretch the allowance you've been given.]

Option 3

[Even if there are no children among the natives, it doesn't stop the adults from being a little immature - or maybe the heat's just getting to them. If you glance around, you might notice almost-hidden baskets of water balloons, tucked under benches and against trash cans...

If you didn't notice, though, it might be an awful surprise when one hits the back of your head. And when you whip around to look - well, it's probably not immediately obvious who the culprit is. Will you brush it off, yell and scream, or take revenge on the town at large?]

Option 4

[Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.]

Option 5

[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.]

"Yeah, well, so does Superman." She grins, then realizes M'gann probably has no idea what she's talking about. "He's my cousin, you know."

"My name's Kara. Also known as Supergirl. Or at least I'm gonna be." And the beaming gets even brighter. "Tell your friends."

Ever wonder what a Martian looks like when she's been poleaxed? M'gann's expression comes pretty close to answering that question, though she finally remembers to blink and shake her head in an attempt to clear it.

"Y-you're Superman's...Cousin?" He even HAD a cousin? All this time M'gann was convinced that he just had a clone, to share Kryptionian ancestry with. The idea that there's someone else out there who also happens to be a girl is enough to throw her for a loop...Although her stammered words help to edge her mouth back into working order.

"S-sorry, don't mean to be rude. I just never knew he had a cousin. A-a girl cousin," foot in mouth, even without shapeshifting. "I'm sorry I...Didn't know?"

Kara scratches her head. That's a... weirdly intense reaction to that piece of information for someone she's pretty sure Clark has never mentioned. "Well, he does. Is... that a big deal?"

"I-" Come on, get your head back in gear, M'gann. "I...I'm sorry, I should introduce myself?"

That might make this slightly less awkward, at least.

"I'm M'gann M'orzz; Miss Martian and J'onn J'onnz's apprentice. You know about him...Right? The Martian Manhunter? In the Justice League with Superman and the others?" Maybe that would help set some common ground down, at least, as she watched this Kara-person carefully. (And reminded herself to move forward with the line.)

"Justice... League?" It's pretty clear from the look on her face she has no idea what that is.

It sounds cool! But she doesn't know what it is.

"...You don't know the League? Group of heroes dedicated to protecting the Earth?" This is getting more and more bizarre by the second. Unless of course-

"Maybe...Maybe we're not from the same Earth?" Though she doesn't sound thrilled to reach that conclusion. The idea of meeting another Kryptonian...Well, that sounded really thrilling; someone different from Superman, but maybe with some common ground with a certain Superboy. It's distressing to consider that she isn't from M'gann's own Earth, even if that explains a bit.

"If Kal has a club, he's keeping it secret from me." Which is ridiculously lame, but not terribly surprising. She never gets to do anything fun.

"...Maybe. Or maybe -- you're from the future? And I'm the Justice League's secret weapon?"
