Here's some prompts to help you get started, if you need it:

Option 1

[Wherever you were, whatever you were doing, it doesn't matter. All it takes is blinking, or stepping into a dark room before the lights are turned on. Anything to obscure your vision for a moment.

Just a moment, but in that moment, a pull is felt, and suddenly, you are elsewhere. Just where that 'elsewhere' happens to be is something that needs to be figured out.

It appears to be a busy city, though, so it shouldn't be too hard finding anyone at all! Feel free to explore, try to find answers, or just take a moment to catch your breath. Whatever it was that pulled you to this place left you feeling a tad disoriented.]

Option 2

[Though the temperatures have been remarkably warm for the beginning of the season, the humidity has finally given way to a crisp, cool feeling in the air that is far more refreshing to those not used to a tropical or sub-tropical 'fall'. All of the stock is being rotated out of the Mall and Marketplace by the dutiful shop keepers - the bright colors and shorter cuts of summer clothing being replaced by the more muted, richer earth tones and the long sleeves of the proper season. In celebration of the start of the equivalent of 'fall' in the city, all the stores are holding a special - should you wish to purchase any new clothes for the shifting season and arrive at the counter with a friend, you get a discount!

Perhaps you should find someone to purchase your items with...?]

Option 3

[There is practically no warning for the change in the weather. One moment, the air is crisp and cool, and the skies only have a few clouds. The next moment, the skies have darkened and the clouds up above have opened up into a steady, unrelenting rainfall. Luckily, there seem to be a number of small shelters erected at even intervals along the streets.

There seems to be enough room under those shelters for two to three people to stand - perhaps there's even someone standing under one now, waiting for the rain to pass. At least you'll have someone to talk to while you wait out the rain!]

Option 4

[Whoops. Looks like you haven't taken the cautionary words of the other NPCs to heart, or maybe you just wanted to take your chances. Either way, the withdrawal symptoms have started and you need to find someone to hug quickly before you get even more sick.]

Option 5

[If there's something else you wanted to play with, that you didn't see here, then have fun with that. You've just arrived in a strange city, after all. There's got to be plenty to explore out and about, not to mention people to meet.]

[she heard it before she felt it; a soft pap on the awning of the stand she had been browsing at, shortly followed by a small impact on the top of her head.

Aqua hadn't even had time to look up inquiringly with her hand held out before the sky opened on top of her. she swallows a yelp, covering her head with her billowing sleeves and heading for the shelter of a paltry, threadworn awning over an old and dusty storefront nearby.

she likes rain - but she likes having some warning to be able to enjoy it. oh well. with a small sigh, she just starts wiping off the wet and shaking off her shoes. maybe she should have bought an umbrella...]

[ welcome to the club, because there is another girl standing under the same awning whose fur is all ruffled from trying to dry off as much as possible from the sudden downpour. though at least you were able to swallow the yelp. she was not so lucky. ]

...never get used to this.

[ at least she seems friendly. ]

[whoops, didn't notice you there. Aqua perks up and straightens, smiling politely and starting with a friendly:]

Pretty sudden--

[or. well. she would have finished that sentence, but there's a rather distracting feature. the ears, obviously. Aqua stares a little, despite herself.]

--wasn't it? [she manages to finish, still absent-mindedly wringing out one of her skirts]

[ it's okay it was a sudden downfall and she smiles back. hope you don't mind the more pronounced canines. ]

That it was.

[ her ear flicks a bit as she too is trying to wring out her skirts. Sob, wet chainmail would have to dry itself, though. ]

[wow. it's good that Aqua's not getting any bad vibes off of this...person...or she might be a little scared of that smile. but as it stands, Aqua's smile finds new strength.]

I might be able to help us both dry off in the meantime?

[it's not easy, but Aqua manages - it's more concentrating on keeping the size of the Aero she casts very small, so it sits in the palm of her hand, spinning harmlessly. Aqua looks back at her companion under the awning, smiling in silent invitation to accept or decline as she pleases.]

[ well that's good, especially since there seems to be a strange...radiance coming from her heart. though she seems a little surprised by the sudden picking up of air around them, and makes an audible gasp. this is the first time she's seen someone cast Aero on themselves, and for such a purpose that did not entail damage over time. ]

You can conjure, too?

[ it isn't very often that she meets a fellow mage, let alone someone from another world. *^* ]

[Aqua modestly turns pink and shyly looks away for a moment at the reception.]

Mm. I, um. I was trained.

[aaaahhh, that was awkward. to move on from her fluster, Aqua smiles again and shows her how holding it just close enough to one's clothes blows air and sucks moisture out, without hurting anything.]

"Too". You use magic?

[ whoops looks like it's y'akeno's turn to blush a little, before digging out a cane from her ~~hammerspace~~ satchel. ]

A-aye, I do. [ hope you don't mind that her clothes suddenly change to a white and blue robe the moment she takes out her cane. ] Though I'm still a novice with anything but a bow. I at least know Stone and Cure...

[ brother e-sumi was going to have her go over air magic next when she was pulled here... D: ]

[Ugh. Rain. Of all the times for it to start raining, it just had to be while Terra was doing his grocery run.

He's glad he wore a trench coat and even brought a scarf, since it's a cold rain, but really? Why was his luck so bad most of the time?

He doesn't even notice that there's anyone under that storefront awning he ducks under until after he's put his grocery bags down on the nearest dry (if dusty) surface and started getting the excess water out of his now damp brown scarf.

But then he stops, and looks over to where Aqua is standing, and... kind of stares for a moment.

... This isn't awkward at all. N o p e.

... Say something, Terra. It's just Aqua. Nothing terrifying about Aqua, right?

He manages a slight sheepish smile, though it's easy to tell he's having trouble finding any kind of words or trying to act natural.] Talk about crazy weather - a little warning would've been nice.

[Aqua, on the other hand, had been busy propping one foot on the concrete sill of the storefront in order to get better purchase - she's trying to dry off her soaking stockings without magic if she can avoid it. no point announcing to a new, strange world what you can do when you're still not sure if there's possible hostility or not.

she hums pleasantly in agreement with the newcomer's statement, not looking at him yet as she tugs gently on the fabric of her stockings in order to wring them out as much as she can without stretching them. they got unpleasantly soaked as she ran for cover. at last, she tries to converse pleasantly, while something about his voice tickles the back of her distracted mind.]

I guess there could be worse things. At least there are plenty of places to wait it out.

[she started to straighten up, polite smile firmly in place, when she actually looks at who she's talking to. and gasps. her foot slips from its perch and Aqua tilts forward, her hands thrown out in front of her to catch herself from falling - she succeeds, catching herself on the window, but not before her knee hits that same sill and she yelps, more in surprise than actual pain.]
