Water always seemed to attract her, even the lake and pool back in Rakuen. So sitting by the water, away from anyone else there is Cirno. She's just watching the water go by as she sits there.
She just wanted something familiar..even if it was only something she would do back in school but..She just needed this. After a moment more she stands and smiles, she would be back and heads over to the water side, letting the water run over her feet and kick it about as a child would. She seems to be having fun or at least keeping her mind off the bad for now.

She has to admit, it really is nice in this place. Strange, but nice a way.
Not that she's managed to adjust far enough to walk around unarmored, a decision she's kind of regretting at this point after seeing how nice the water looks. When's the last time she got to go for a swim without having to keep her eyes open for a potential attack? Unfortunately with the heavy suit of armor she's got on, actually taking more than a step or two into the water at the most would be anywhere from foolish to potentially quite dangerous.
Still, this won't stop her from walking alongside the water, just enjoying a peaceful walk at the moment. She's also decided to at least remove her helmet for the moment, tucking it under one arm in the hopes she can avoid appearing intimidating when approaching people because to be honest? It hasn't taken long for her to start getting a little bit lonely without any of her friends here.
And she's never had much trouble approaching strangers either, which is why she's decided to chance approaching the blue haired girl near the water, smiling warmly at her as she does so.
"It's nice out here isn't here?"

[After having been told he'd have to hug people in this strange new city, Yogi finds himself delighted. He loves people, and is very fond of being affectionae. He finds what he believes to be the busiest part of the city- the Learning Center- and promptly makes a brightly colored and somewhat childishly designed sign that says "Free Hugs" and walks up to strangers with his arms open. Some people give him hugs back because they think what's done is cute. Others glare at him because they think such a thing is stupid. And it looks like he's just seen you! What will you do?]

A lot of them smiled. That was enough to keep Roxas from listening to them. Talk about creepy.
His arrival in the city had been jarring enough: woken as if from sleep, finding himself outside of the confines of Sora's mind and inside some narrow alleyway in the middle of the city. Roxas had no choice but to go forward, to ask about the townspeople about where he was, do you know anyone by the name of Sora, Naminé, Mickey, Axel, anyone. A good majority of them were very kind, but said there was nothing they could do for him. (Not to mention they also found his coat a little strange.)
He'd found a place to stay, some food had been offered, but today, there had been nothing to quell the steadily rising queasiness. He pinched the bridge of his nose or rubbed his temples as passersby either avoided him or offered a hug or a hand. "No, thank you, I'm fine," followed every offer. He's just feeling unwell. In order to do the job, he had, of course, been forced to resort to it, but generally, every other use of it made his flesh crawl at the idea that one would be so intimate with a stranger, reminded him of what little he remembered of where he had come from and would not be sinking back into, thank you very much.
Which was how he found himself staggering about, the glare on his face deepening as he fought off a wave of nausea to stand, and stroll about as usual. Whether or not he would seek the contact on his own was still debatable. He was certain he had endured, and would endure worse when this God foresaken nightmare ended, but he was not in a position to turn it away either, should it be required.

He really should have listened, he realizes, but part of him wanted to test the limits. And still another part refuses to believe any of this is real.]

She had gone exploring and now she was lost. She had tried to ask for help but all the natives didn't have time to answer her, telling her (even if politely) to ask someone else. And the more she traveled to try and ask someone, the more lost she became. Alice worried her lip and pulled at her fingers. She didn't want to get upset. If she got even more upset she'd end up crying and if people weren't going to help her find her way when she wasn't crying, why would they help her if she were?

"E-Excuse me, please, could you help me?"

As much as her arms are beginning to tremble, the young lady carrying them all places them down with a great deal of caution, almost reverance. She is not a great reader, even if the large amount of materials might indicate as such, but being allowed access to such a great wealth of information and stories is certainly a fantastic perk to being held captive in this touchy-feely city. Libraries were ordinarily reserved only for the wealthy, or those with great political sway. As a bard, she had neither riches nor influence.]

The boy running into the water, red hair trailing behind him, might be in his late teens physically, but the expression on his face looks more like you'd except more a little kid. He doesn't seem to care about getting his shoes and socks wet, either, although he's at least hiked up both his pant legs to his knees and tied up the flowing tails of his coat.
Realizing that no one else has followed his delighted, impromptu charge into the water, Ember turns around much smaller set of splashes and puts his hands on his hips.]

He's settled in the library of Building Two, a pile of books in hand. He's not sure what to do about the whole situation, being somewhere new has never been something he was good at, but now he didn't really have much of a choice.

Hiding behind books is a new one. Pippin, in the throes of an enjoyable exploration of the city, stumbles upon the mini-library and the book fort, and can't help but investigate. While that's not the case for Yoruichi, there's definitely a mindset that the majority of the newbies in this place aren't going to survive without the cat there to go rub up on them and keep them marginally healthy. What would this town do without such a useful kitty? Curl up and die, no doubt.]

For once she doesn't have to be constantly on guard in case somebody attacks her or constantly looking over her shoulder. For once her lance can be slung across her back rather than carried in her hands every waking moment. Even if she can't quite relax enough to walk around unarmed or unarmored, she's got her weapon across her back and her helmet removed in an attempt to hopefully appear a little less intimidating despite the massive suit of medieval armor she's currently wearing.
Unfortunately that armor does prevent her from actually jumping into the water so for the time being she's settling for simply walking slowly alongside the river, her boots only a few feet from the edge of the water as she gazes out over it, something of a faraway look on her face. Perhaps an unusual sight, but she can at least hope she doesn't look threatening at the moment.]

If anything can be said of Cetos, it's that their unique brand of stubborn, bull-headed stupidity gets them into rough patches more often than not. Ladon is the prime example of this: he's lived through knife fights, shoot-outs, running from the cops on multiple occasions, and even survived a fire that consumed an entire block of buildings. He's been beaten, bitten, stabbed, shot, burnt, and nearly drowned. He's seen his share of action.
Thus why that macho, obstinate part of his brain scoffs at the idea of needing to be coddled just to go outside long enough to have a cigarette.
And why he's currently sitting on the curb and weakly attempting to light one up all the while hiding behind the collar of his woolen coat and brim of his matching hat. Because his amazing stubbornness goes hand-in-hand with his legendary pride.
And he is not going to stoop to asking someone for a hug, especially with his transformation magic likely to go on the fritz. ]

[It had been chance that brought Roxas near this part of the city. As much as he wanted to do some exploring himself, the streets were narrow enough to easily get lost in. He had only just recognized where he was after picking up some bread and cold cuts when he saw Mami nearby.

He approaches her cautiously; he'll keep his distance for now, though he knows that may not help her much. He raises his free hand just slightly, enough to be at the ready to catch her, should she faint or fall.]

It was cool in the halls of the Elvenking, even through what heat of the summer managed to seep through the trees. The stone into which they had been delved would radiate this coolness, even if outside temperatures soared. It was one of the benefits of living underground, and one that was welcome enough if need forced him and his people away from the trees and the stars whenever they retreated into their home - no cavern, however well constructed, however airy and beautiful it had been made, and however great the need that had driven them to take up residence in it, could replace the forest. None of this changed that above ground, under the shadows of the trees, it could become hot, and Thranduil had expected nothing less here. He had been somewhat pleasantly surprised, and slightly bewildered (though of course he would never admit to such), to find that he was wrong. The air remained cool as the spring rain. It made staying indoors attractive enough to be tempting.
The library housed in building two was small. Thranduil had never been a great scholar, one who researched ancient tomes and loved facts not for their use but for the sheer having of them, but neither was he against the pursuit of knowledge, and this place had as good a cause - many - to seek it out.
It was still strange, to find himself in a place which over six thousand years of experience had nonetheless left him so unprepared for.

The river that ran through the city made Thranduil homesick for his home, and for the music of creation which ran with the water. It was an odd melancholy - the river was the same, and yet was not the same, for unless he was greatly mistaken, Valinor did not lie beyond the sea in this place.
Thranduil had not the wish that some of his kindred had or gained, to see the blessed lands beyond the sea, but to be so separated was slightly depressing. Valinor had previously been a promise, one which may not be fulfilled until the ending of all the earth, but a promise nonetheless. Here it was... nothing. It was barely even a hope.

Science - the mixing of powders and liquids, of long calculations and metals packed in oil - was strange to the elf king, both in execution and in concept. The world was, and such excessive tinkering with the mechanics, such attempts to change the state of things, seemed both unwise and dangerous. Some of the things in these laboratories looked more like devices of the enemy than those of free peoples. It was unnatural. It was unnerving. He couldn't quite decide whether or not he should be fascinated.
Change in the world - the ordering and perfecting of the world - was as natural for an elf as speech, and similar in function. The wine here was pitiful, and he bent his power to enriching it. It was a similar concept, but a different execution. Nonetheless, he considered as he watched with a goblet in hand, it was still very strange.

He'd eaten nothing in two days, simply because he was not sure he was capable of keeping it down, and was similarly not sure he could accept that ignominy. Not yet. He was hungry, but that was the least of his concerns.
Thranduil cared about people, most specifically his people, but thousands of years of being constantly on his guard against all comers had left him far less generous with most strangers. Even among those he loved he generally remained aloof; he was a king, and needed to maintain the degree of separation and of dignity that this situation demanded. A king was not allowed to show weakness. A king must be untouchable, lighthearted, stern, all things needed to all those who needed him. He could not falter. He could not show weakness. He had to remain separated, elevated, a figurehead. The wood-elves were at war still, and even if he was no longer there, the habit of so long was a difficult one to break.
It had, however, reached such a point that he could no longer even pretend. Thranduil was seated - he was trying his best not to slump, though he supposed vaguely that it might resemble that to another - against a wall, and was focusing on his breathing. He had faced the Dark Lord himself and all his troops in Mordor, with the blood of his father and his people running through the black earth. He could master this. In, perhaps, just a moment.

Sure that this was a trick, something Riki had done to make him believe he was free of that Valar-forsaken tower. A trick to try to get information about Zelda, about the resistance, about the task Dax left for them.
